We’re saddened to report the passing of well-known and highly-respected motorsports writer and radio personality David Poole, who covered NASCAR for The Charlotte Observer for the last 13 years. Poole’s career began in 1981 after earning a Morehead Scholarship to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
